Our Organ
About the Organ
The new organ for Grace Lutheran church is specially built for this sanctuary. Visually, the organ’s case mirrors the front of the sanctuary. The case’s central tower represents the coral rock wall. The side towers step forward to represent the curved redos with angels.
Tonally, the organ is designed to master the building acoustics. Its horizontal layout projects sound to all the sanctuary’s corners - even when the room is full. And, at any seating capacity, musical variety is assured by the inclusion of numerous color stops under expression.
The organ contains 1,860 pipes distributed over three manuals and pedal.. Three slider chests and eight unit chests control these pipes. A unique electro-pneumatic key action capable of repeating twenty times each second allows the organist maximum control of the instrument.
