Many parents are deeply concerned about prevailing educational options today.

  1. Schools don’t embody Christian values.

  2. The 8-3:40 model leaves their kids exhausted.

  3. The classrooms are oversized.

So parents desire to homeschool, but they are hesitant to take that step alone.

Grace Lutheran Academy is here to be a solution

We provide:

  1. A Christ-centered education where Jesus is received as savior and honored as Lord.

  2. A classical education which pursues excellence in thinking, speaking, and living.

  3. A hybrid education which combines the best of homeschooling and private schooling.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • For our K-5 program, tuition is set for the year at $7,500.

The cost for our 6-8 program is $8,500.

  • We do! Our academy is approved as a home-educational provider.

  • For the 2025-2026 school year, students are in class from 8:30-2:30 Tuesday-Thursday.

  • Students work on lessons provided by our teachers for review, projects, and reading with their parents on days they are not in class.

  • Our class sizes cap at 10 per cohort.

Our cohorts are specifically designed to give excellent instruction to each individual student. We believe in focused attention to all of our students.

  • For excellence in language, flexibility in instruction, and maintaining optimal class sizes.

Andrew Peduwa of the Institute for Excellence in Writing argues that grouping students according to the same age inhibits excellence in language because students tend toward the level of their peers. Seeing as excellence in listening, speaking, reading, and writing is one of our core values, this model fits better with our goals.

In addition to this, our cohorts are designed for flexibility so that a high-flyer can go into a higher cohort and one who is struggling can join a cohort that fits their needs.

Finally, the cohort model allows us to keep class sizes at a very low number.

  • We offer a program of classes in catechesis (Bible and worship), math, science language arts, and history. In the upper school, we also offer logic and rhetoric (thinking and speaking well).

  • At this time we offer tutoring for grades 9-12. We are also able to offer ala carte classes by demand.

  • Our goals are that our students know God's love for them and extend His love to their neighbors. We want them to do so equipped with wisdom and eloquence. Being preserved by God unto life everlasting, our goal is that our students would see God. Hence our motto, "Videre Deum" - "To see God."

  • Classical-Christian education is a well-worn, time-tested approach to education which aims at the formation of the entire human being. Classical-Christian education focuses on Western culture, deep thinking, persuasive speaking, and, ultimately, seeing God's glory in all things.

  • Lutheran Classical education aims to train students in a wise and eloquent respect for God and His Word under the cross; living and learning under the cross means that students know that God saved them by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, by no work of their own wills. This both humbles them on the one hand and teaches them how deeply loved they are on the other.

Receiving God's love, they extend that love to others in their various callings without the pride that can come from wisdom and eloquence. When harmoniously integrated into a student's life, Lutheran distinctives yield the fruits of love, joy, and peace.

  • No. Your family needs to adhere to the Christian faith for admittance. Families acknowledge that Grace Lutheran Academy is a Lutheran school with Lutheran teachers.

  • Classical education is, in part, about learning great texts from great authors in the Western tradition. Many of those texts are written in Latin. Therefore, in order that our students might read those texts, we teach Latin.
