Procrastinator's Motto
Mar 19th, 2010

"Why do today what you can put off till tomorrow!" The procrastinator's Motto.  Many say this is also the motto of most men.  But certainly not me!  Just don’t ask my wife about that!  Now there are positives and negatives to being a procrastinator.  Putting the best construction on things we could say that by waiting till the last minute we are contemplating on just what the best course of action would be to take.  We are weighing our options and prayerfully considering just what would be right.  Besides only fools rush in and get things done early!  Wait, I don’t think that’s right?

Well I guess that’s about the only good thing we can say about procrastinators.  But there are a bunch of negatives.  Procrastinators wait till the last second and scramble to get things done.  This adds undue stress.  They never give their best effort because they just don’t get things done early enough to have put in the time and effort necessary for their best.

But what does this have to do with The Faith?  Well, everyone procrastinates on certain things.  Most of the time it concerns things we don’t like to do.  But sometimes we procrastinate about things we are afraid of or don’t understand.  When it concerns your eternal life, don’t be a procrastinator.  If you don’t know about Jesus then ask!  Don’t put off today what you may not get a chance to have tomorrow.  I bring this up now because we are quickly approaching the wonderful season in the church year of Palm Sunday/Passion Week/Resurrection(Easter).  This is a great time for searching and seeking people to come and hear the wonderful message of life from death.  To hear what Jesus is all about and more importantly, what he is all about for you!    Don’t let another Easter go by without hearing the “Good News!”  You may not get another chance!
